Hi Adam, I just started doing a lot of work with SAS and VBA, and I am trying to familiarize myself with both tools.
I am still wondering which tool to use for a given project, so I was wondering if you could send me a brief list of applications that you think SAS handles better and a list that VBA would handle better. This might help me choose which tool to focus on for a given task. Thanks!
SAS and VBA really are apples and oranges. SAS is a full-fledged stats package capable of very powerful statistical analysis. VBA is a scripting language that allows you to automate basic Excel tasks. If you have large data sets, or are trying to do anything other than basic regression, SAS is probably worth learning.
